Their word against the other driver's, or the footage.

Three cameras record the road ahead, the road behind and the inside of the car on every drive. It plugs into the lighter socket and starts recording when the car does, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to forget.

Details

  • 1080p front camera, 720p rear camera, 720p cabin camera
  • Loop recording overwrites the oldest clips, so the card never fills up
  • 64GB memory card included, ready out of the box
  • Watch clips on the camera screen, or pull the card and view them on a computer
  • Powers from the cigarette lighter socket, suction-cup windshield mount
  • Rear camera and cable in the box

Good for a first car, a parent's car, or anyone who drives for work and wants a witness.

What's in the box

  • Front camera with suction-cup windshield mount
  • Rear camera and cable
  • Cabin camera
  • Cigarette-lighter power cable
  • 64GB memory card, already included

Install (about 15 minutes)

  1. Stick the front unit on the windshield, passenger side of the rearview mirror.
  2. Plug the lighter cable in. It starts recording when the car does.
  3. Mount the rear camera and run the cable along the headliner and down the hatch or trunk. Sedan-length cable.

No hardwiring. No tools. If you only want front and cabin, skip the rear cam.

Who it's for

  • Parents: the cabin camera is the point. You see the road and the inside of the car.
  • New drivers: set it and forget it. Loop recording, card included.
  • Gig / night drivers: front, rear, and cabin without a $200 kit. Daylight is clear enough to read plates. Night is usable, a bit grainy.

Good to know

  • No app and no WiFi. Playback is on the camera screen, or on a computer from the SD card.
  • No monthly fee and no subscription.
  • Loop recording overwrites the oldest unlocked clips. The card does not fill up.
  • It powers off when the lighter socket does. It records while you drive, not while the car is parked.

FAQ

How do I watch the footage?
On the camera screen in the car, or take the 64GB card out and plug it into a computer. No app required.

Will it work in my car?
Any 12V car with a cigarette lighter and a windshield for the suction cup. Rear cable is long enough for a sedan. SUVs and trucks are fine if you route it along the headliner.

Do I need to buy a memory card?
No. A 64GB card is in the box.

Set it and forget it

Plugged it in, stuck it on the windshield, and have not thought about it since. Loop recording means I am not swapping cards. Rear cam cable is long enough for a sedan. For the price this is an easy yes.

Finally something I can point to if anything happens

Bought this for my daughter’s first car. Install was just the suction cup and the lighter plug. She forgets everything, so I like that it starts recording when the car does. The cabin camera is the part that sold me. We have not needed the footage, and I hope we never do, but I sleep better knowing it is there.
